Suzuki History - Suzuki Company
was built in 1909 named Suzuki Loom Works. In 1950s, his focus had developed
more than just looms; it had covered car and motorcycle. By 1955, Suzulight was created; a nice car
that proved the new era of light vehicle in japan. Suzuki also created a truck
in 1961; alike his brother, Carry Suzulight was created with the light
specification. At the end of decade, Suzuki had grown up and succeeded creating
passenger car, Fronte.
In 1970,
Suzuki Jimny car was created, four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle which is
alike Jeep CJ-5. In 1980, Suzuki partnering with General Motors-GM achieved 5%
of shares in Suzuki. In 1980s, the first time Suzuki launched the product in
America, the first model is Suzuki Samurai Car, convertible and hardtop is
available.
During the 90’s, Suzuki expanded the marketing to many countries such as Egypt, Vietnam, Hungarian and launched new model such as Cappuccino light convertible and Wagon R. in American, Suzuki Esteem was launched, replaced Samurai with x-90 and so Sidekick with Vitara and Grand Vitara. To date, Suzuki competes fiercely with another competitor, but Suzuki car remains one of the respected car manufacturers ever.
