After years, again Horch established a new company in Zwickau with the same name, Horch. The Germany Supreme Court (Reichsgericht) forbade Horch using Family’s name for the trade mark. So, he tried to think and had meeting with his business friends, Paul and Franz Fikentscher. They discussed about the new name that would be use for the new company’s trade mark. He got inspired from Franz’s child who tried to learn Latin. The child tried to say something that he couldn’t till he said to his father “dad, – audiatur et altera pars… isn’t it will be better called audi than Horch? (Horch!! In Germany means “listen”, and in Latin is “Audi”). Soon the idea was accepted enthusiastically by all people there. And the firstAudi’s car is Audi type B, 10/28PS, launched in 1910.
August Horch left the company by 1920 because of the appointment became Minister of Transportation, but still exists in the company as board of trustees. By 1921, Audi became the first German Automotive company which launched the car left steering version.
