Ford 7Y 1938-1939 - Ford 7Y is a car from Ford designed in the U. s. Empire
between 1938 and 1939. During that time 65,098 vehicles were created.
The car was formally promoted as a Ford "Eight",
and was a re-bodied and a little bit bigger edition of the Ford Design Y. The
car was operated by a 933 cc, 8 hp Ford Side-valve motor.
A minimal renovation towards the end of 1939 led to the
first Ford Anglia.
The car had some uncommon features such as open-able back
windows that were in the main body work as this was only a two entrance
automobile. A back rim protect was available on the deluxe designs with the
conventional edition also having a break in the back body-work to take the
extra rim, at the same time not protected. The storage space of the extra rim
in this way imitates the design of the V8 Ford Lead. This model was also the
last to be fixed with a 'kink' in the front side fender before the easier
directly bumpers were presented on the Ford Anglia (E04A).
